You choose to be found.

Browsing Peepal does not create a public listing. Publishing makes your name, interests and any optional details you add visible to anyone, including search engines. Optional details can include your bio, area, languages, background, favourites, prompts, values and causes. Empty sections stay off your card. Your photo follows its separate visibility setting: everyone, signed-in people, or only you. You and authorized reviewers can always access your photo for account and moderation purposes. You can save privately or pause your listing from My profile.

You choose how people reach you.

Contact details do not appear in public search results. Your email can be shared during an introduction with signed-in people, restricted to people with a checked photo, or kept private. Photo checks are human reviews, not identity or safety guarantees. When an eligible signed-in person prepares an introduction, they receive the contact method you have enabled: your account email, WhatsApp number, or Instagram username. Once shared, those details can be saved or forwarded outside Peepal. Choose only the methods you are comfortable sharing.

A little context travels with the hello.

Introductions record the sender’s account, the name they provide, the selected interest, a note if they add one, the chosen channel, and the time. A private link is accessible only to the sender and receiver for 30 days. Old introduction records are cleaned up when new introductions are created. Peepal does not read or store your conversations in other apps.

Photo checks are about the photo.

You can optionally submit a selfie with a requested pose. An authorized human reviewer compares it with your profile photo. We do not run automated facial recognition or verify your legal name. Your selfie is private, can be withdrawn while pending, and is deleted when reviewed or when you delete your account. A new profile photo removes the badge. You can remove your photo from My profile; saving that change removes its badge and any pending selfie. DigiLocker identity verification is not available in this pilot. There is currently no deadline requiring it. “Photo checked” does not guarantee someone’s identity, intentions, or conduct.

What keeps the directory working.

Peepal uses your ChatGPT account identifier and email for sign-in and account access. Listings and introduction records are stored in a database, and photos are stored separately. Authorized admins can review accounts, moderate listings, and resolve reports. Admin changes are recorded in a private activity log. We use the hosting provider’s authentication and operational logs. We do not add advertising trackers or sell your contact details. Your browser may store the app’s basic offline page and icons when you install it.

Keep the invitation a good one.

Peepal is for adults 18 and over. Use your own name and photo. Reach out about the interests someone has listed; a listing is not permission for harassment, spam, impersonation, or unwanted romantic or sexual messages. A person can always decline or stop responding. Keep private addresses, financial information, and sensitive documents out of your listing.

Report, block, or leave.

Use Report or block on a profile, or on an introduction you received, to flag a concern to the review team. Blocking stops new introductions between those accounts on Peepal. It cannot withdraw contact details already shared or block messages in other apps. Reports can lead to a listing being removed or an account being suspended.

Delete your Peepal account from My profile to remove your listing, photos, photo-check submission, introduction records, and reports associated with your account. Copies already sent to another person or app are outside Peepal’s control. You can remove a block from My profile.
